By contract with the City of Williams Lake, the Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Society has the responsibility for managing the Central Cariboo Arts Centre, located at 90 Fourth Avenue North in the old Fire Hall.
The Central Cariboo Arts Centre is for the benefit of all residents of the City of Williams Lake and Areas “D”, “E” and “F” of the Cariboo Regional District. It provides that benefit by housing and showcasing the arts and artistic activity.
The Arts Centre is home to three tenant groups, and also has designated “General” space available for meetings, displays, art shows and sales, classes, demonstrations, concerts and performances by the region’s arts groups. General space may be used for functions by non-arts groups or individuals provided that their use of the room does not conflict with use by members of the arts communinity, and they agree to pay the appropriate fees.
Our Coordinator, Leah Selk, is generally in the building from Monday to Friday during the day, but we highly recommend you call or email in advance to book an appointment. Because management of the Arts Centre is only a small part of the Coordinator’s job, she is not always available on site and may be at a meeting, visiting one of the many arts and culture groups within the Central Cariboo, or participating in an arts and cultural event.
If Leah is out of the building, you will find a note on the front door stating when she will be back to assist you.
In the meantime, please feel free to email us at info@centralcaribooarts.com or call us at 778-412-9044.
Thank you!
