The Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Society (CCACS) announced today the recipients of the 2013 CCACS Grants Program. Project grants were available for non-profit organizations or community groups in Williams Lake and the Central Cariboo (CRD Areas D, E, and F) to support and develop arts and culture within the region. The funding for these grants, in the amount of $20,000, is provided by the Cariboo Regional District (Central Cariboo Arts & Culture service) and the City of Williams Lake. read more...

CCACS Call for Workshop Ideas or Proposals For Immediate Release. In acting as a resource for arts and culture in the Central Cariboo, the Society seeks a variety of ways to help develop arts and culture. One suggestion made very frequently is that a series of workshops should be mounted on topics that the arts and culture community feels would be useful. While many groups mount their own workshops from time to time, a CCACS series would supplement those. It could be a series on a wide variety of topics from new techniques in an arts form to assistance with board governance. If there is interest in such a series, we would like to see it offered this fall. read more...
