Live music coming at you, Williams Lake! We've got a night of femme-powered acts to activate your musical senses. With our presenting partners Arts on the Fly, this night of entertainment will also feature a cash bar (bring your ID!!). Join us Friday May 3rd - doors open 7 pm, show gets started at 7:30 pm.

Tickets will be available Tuesday, April 23rd, at The Guitar Seller and The Open Book! $15 advance, $20 at the door.


Naomi Kavka is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Smithers, BC. A classically trained cellist, vocalist, and guitar player, Kavka brings a myriad of influences to her songs, forming a daring indie-rock sound that is musically polished, lyrically visceral, and emotionally raw. Her songs come from the unique perspective of a queer woman, a child of a refugee, a resident of the precipice of the wilderness of Canada.
Opening for Naomi Kavka are local songstresses High Tensions (Abby Roy and Mackenna Lecomte). High Tensions is an indie alternative duo. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Young the Giant, Sam Tudor,The Strokes, Greta van fleet and Declan mckenna, their music captures the essence of these influential artists while maintaining a unique and distinct style.

Originating from a shared passion for music, High Tensions was formed in 2018 by two best friends who sought to create a sound that would resonate with listeners on a deeper level. Their music is a fusion of introspective and thought-provoking lyrics, accompanied by catchy hooks and dynamic harmonies.

Kavka’s band, Geoff McFarlane (Handsome Eli) Ian Olmstead (Alex Cuba), Jake Jenne (Aerialists), and Jordy Walker, deftly support her as they perform deeply intimate, political, and cathartic songs. Brought together by soundscapes and comradery, they blend their backgrounds of jazz, classical music, folk traditions, and rock to communicate complex emotional landscapes. Their latest album "Then and Now" (June 2024) is a collection of 8 songs produced by Jordy Walker. Ranging from driving indie jams, melancholic ballads, snarky anthems, and art rock improvisations, "Then and Now" demonstrates Kavka's fearlessness and range as a performer and songwriter.
